Dehesa de los Canónigos

Bodega Dehesa de los Canónigos is a fourth generation family winery situated in Pesquera de Duero, the “Golden Mile” of Ribera del Duero. The property was first bought by the Sanz Cid family in 1931, and they started bottling wine under Dehesa de los Canónigos Brand in 1989. They have 60 hectares of vineyards planted at 800m, and the vines are planted to roughly 84% Tempranillo, 12 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Albillo and 1% Merlot.

The winery is certified organic and all the grapes come from their own estate vineyards. They make microvinifications for every different plot where the soil types differ. The winemaking team is led by Belen Sanz Cid, the technical director, and his brother Ivan is the CEO and vineyard manager.
