Bodegas Briego is a family winery in Fompedraza, set up by the Benito Hernando brothers - Gaspar, Fernando and Javier. At the heart of this project was the desire to restore and revive their father’s old vineyards. In 1988, some more vines were planted in Curiel de Duero, Peñafiel, and Fompedraza. The winery currently has 77 hectares of Tempranillo, with a nominal amount of Merlot and Cabernet. Fernando Benito Hernando is the oenologist, and the winery is dedicated to traditional winemaking, that respects its environment.
