Bodegas Grupo Yllera was founded in 1970, and the Yllera family has been making wines for 6 generations. Led by Marcos and Carlos Yllera, the company has vineyards in Castilla y Leon, Toro, Rueda, and Rioja as well as Ribera. The winery group controls 150 hectares of vines in Ribera, working closely with growers to ensure the best quality grapes are harvested every year.

The minimum age of the vines is 15 years and maximum yields are kept at 4,500 Kg per hectare. The Pepe Yllera wine is made from Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, from 30-40 year old vines, and the Jesús Yllera from 50 year old vines of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot growing at an altitude of 1000m. The age of vines for the Boada brand range from 20-40 years old.
