Bodegas Lleiroso was founded in 2001 by the Gonzalez family. Since 2019 Bodegas Lleiroso is part of a wine group with seven wineries in six Spanish regions (including Dominio de Bornos in Ribera). The winery is located in Valbuena de Duero, in Ribera’s “Golden Mile”.

The low-yielding Tempranillo vines grow at an altitude of 780m and range from 25-80 years old. The soils found here are alluvial and made up of limestone and clay. All the grapes are hand harvested, and some of the grapes are sourced from a handful of local grape growers. The winery has an annual production of 200,000 kg. Since 2015, the winemaking team is led by Víctor Fernández, who also makes wine at Dominio de Bornos.
