Bodegas Veganzones is a family winery based in Fompedraza, 8km from Peñafiel. The winery’s origins date back to 1956 when the grandfather of the founding brothers started making his own wine. The main variety is Tempranillo, with some vines planted to Merlot. Bodegas Veganzones cultivates 50 hectares of vineyards. 

These limestone rich vineyards sit at an altitude of 912m, and the fruit is hand-harvested and carefully selected. Heraclio Veganzones Pesquera is the 3rd generation winemaker, and he aims to combine traditional methods with the latest technology in order to make the best quality wines.
