Bodegas Virtus is located in Aldeyuso, close to Peñafiel (Valladolid), in the heart of Ribera del Duero. In 2013 Íñigo López de la Osa took over the family winery. The winery has vineyards in Aldeyuso, and some older parcels in Sotillo de la Ribera, Hontoria de Valdearados, Moradillo de Roa or La Horra. The winery tends 34 hectares, 9 of them owned by the winery. They work with Tempranillo and Albillo.

​The winery’s philosophy is to blend tradition and innovation in order to make the best quality wine in a way that respects the environment. The oenologist is Ernesto Peña Peña, and winery releases three red wines: Virtus, Vega del Yuso and Alma, and one white, Virtus Blanco.
