Convento de Oreja was founded in 2003 by the Vaquero family. The winery is situated in Peñafiel, Valladolid, and is named after a nearby convent once famous for its wines.

Convento de Oreja has 25 hectares of vines, all planted to Tempranillo. The winemaker is Silvia Gonzalez, and the winery’s goal is to make modern wines that also capture the history and traditions of Ribera.
