La Luz del Duero

La Luz del Duero was founded in 1980 and is one of Vinos de la Luz’s three wineries. The family company is owned by the Argentine Ricardo Fernández Núñez, grandson of a Spanish grower. Vinos de la Luz’s other wineries are in Valle de Uco in Argentina and in Montalcino.

La Luz del Duero is located in Mélida de Peñafiel, and they have a total of 40 hectares of Tempranillo under vine. Noelia Mena is the winemaker at Vinos de la Luz.
