Bodegas Pradorey is located in the highest and coolest part of Ribera de Duero, in the Royal Estate of Ventosilla. The estate has 545 hectares of vines in some of the best sites in Ribera. There are nine vineyards, some of which have been converted to organic farming. The vines are mainly planted to Tempranillo, with some plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Albillo. Pradorey produces its own hydro and solar electricity as well as its own natural fertiliser from cattle.

Francisco Martin, the oenologist is committed to sustainability in the vineyards and the cellar, and tries to balance tradition with innovation. Some of their wines such as the El Buen Alfarero are vinified in clay amphorae, and the El Retablo is vinified using criaderas and soleras.
