Bodegas Trus

Bodegas Trus is located in Piñel de Abajo, Valladolid, and produces estate wines from 140 hectares of Tempranillo. The winery divides its vineyards into small plots that share the same soil composition. The wine from each plot is vinified separately in order to best understand how Tempranillo responds to these different terroirs.

The winery then decides whether to release the wine as a single vineyard or to blend it with other wines that have a complementary character. The yield is kept low (max 1.6 kg per vine), and the focus is always on producing the best quality fruit that can best express the character of each site.
