Señorío de Aldea

Señorío de Aldea is located in Aldea de San Esteban, Soria. In 2013 Daniel Heras took over management of his grandfather’s old vines, and planted some additional vines. The oldest vines are 150 years old. The 12 hectares of vines are planted to 90% Tempranillo, 5% Garnacha and 5% Albillo and grow at an altitude of 870m. Some of the plots are owned by the winery and others are rented from local growers.

The organic parcels are vinified plot by plot, to capture the character of each individual site. The yield is kept low here, with the vines producing an average of 2800kg of fruit per hectare. From the beginning the winery has worked with oenologists Rebeca Palomo and Esther Gómez in order to make the best quality wines from their land.
