Edinburgh: Master of Port UK Masterclass

The Master of Port Masterclass will be presented by Paulo Pinto of the IVDP. This event is open to all sommeliers, who will then have the chance to enter the first round of the Master of Port UK competition.

About The Event
The Master of Port masterclass is open to sommeliers and is the first stage of the Master of Port UK competition. The masterclass will be presented by Paulo Pinto of the IVDP, who will cover all the key elements of Port: history, terroir, production and diversity of styles.
After the masterclass candidates will be invited to sit an online test which will take place on the 29th September. The 10 best performing applicants will be invited to Porto for the next stage of the competition (2nd - 5th November). The Master of Port UK competition will conclude in 2026 after additional training and testing rounds.
