About The Event
The Edinburgh Master of Port UK masterclass is open to all wine professionals. The masterclass will be presented by Paulo Pinto of the IVDP, who will cover all the key elements of Port: history, terroir, production and diversity of styles.
Master of Port UK competition
If you are a sommelier based in the UK, you are also eligible to enter the first stage of the Master of Port UK competition, which will be an online test (29th September). The 10 best performing applicants will be invited to Porto for the next stage of the competition (2nd - 5th November). The Master of Port UK competition will conclude in 2026 after additional training and testing rounds.
PLEASE NOTE: All members of the wine trade are welcome to attend the educational masterclass, but only UK sommeliers are able to enter the Master of Port UK competition and sit the online test.
